The couple's divorce was granted on Monday (30Jul07) in Los Angeles County Superior Court.Judge Scott Gordon signed the decree hours after Spears and Federline's lawyers appeared in court to settle the ongoing divorce battle.
Spears' attorney Laura Wasser made a motion to keep the custody and child support provisions secret, on grounds that making it public would be harmful to the couple's sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Judge Gordon granted that request, pending a hearing on 14 August (07).

The Lost In Translation beauty, 22, bought the spacious property from moviemaker Harold Becker, and the house boasts seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Earlier reports that the star had spent only £400,000 on her mansion were completely incorrect. A source says, "It's a gigantic property. The place spans over 4.352 square feet."

More dates for Spice Girls
The Spice Girls have announced extras dates for their world tour, after an unprecedented demand for tickets. The band - Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell - have added three more concerts after 3 million people registered for tickets on the girls' official website.
In a statement, they said: "In true Girl Power tradition we are taking over the world... again! We have just found out that we've had over 3 MILLION ticket requests on the website. As our own VB (Victoria Bekcham) would say, that is MAJOR!!"
The group will now perform in Vancouver, Canada, San Jose, USA, and Shanghai, China.
In order to fit the Shanghai concert into their schedule the girls have moved their Beijing performance to an earlier date.
The band will also add another date to the tour, but it will be the fans decision to where the concert will be.
The girls said: "If we haven't announced a date near you, you can still vote for your city to become 'Spice City'. For one night only, exactly where we perform is down to you and your votes. We are literally in your hands!"
Other cities included on the tour are London, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Koln, Madrid, Hong Kong, Sydney, Cape Town and Buenos Aires.
The band, who will also release a greatest hits album to coincide with the tour this December, announced last month they were reuniting - seven years after their last album was released.

The couple have named the new arrival Alexander Pete Schreiber. The tot was almost two weeks early and friends say Naomi was determined to have a natural labour.
One pal said: "Naomi was planning on giving birth next week - her due date was early August - but since she insisted on delivering naturally, she knew there was a chance she would have the baby before the due date. That's what wound up happening."
Naomi and Liev threw an intimate baby shower on Saturday (21.07.07) with an afternoon gathering at their Los Angeles home.

Britney Spears has allegedly broken the terms of her custody agreement by taking her sons to Las Vegas without Kevin Federline's permission.The 'Toxic' singer - accompanied by her brother Bryan - flew by private plane to America's gambling capital on Wednesday afternoon (25.07.07) with 22-month-old Sean Preston, and 10-month-old Jayden James and checked into the Wynn Las Vegas hotel.
Under California law, neither parent is allowed to take a child out of the state without written permission from the other - or by obtaining a court order.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Kevin is demanding she get back to Los Angeles because she isn't allowed to have the kids out of state.
"Britney did not have written permission and she needs this to take her children out California. She never got it or alerted people she was leaving. I'm sure Kevin's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is mulling over how to handle this."
Britney had checked out of the Wynn by 5.30pm Las Vegas time on Thursday (26.07.07), but not before causing some drama.

The photographer then alleges Britney started yelling while Camera tackled his partner to the ground and began punching.
Sergeant Loretto of the Las Vegas Police Department said Camera has been issued a citation for misdemeanour battery.
Loretto added: "A second Incident Crime Report was also filed by Ms. Spears on behalf of her minor child. In that report it was alleged that prior to the above incident a second photographer, identified as Kyle Henderson, battered both Mr. Camera and Ms. Spears' child, who was at that time being held by the security officer."
Nicole Richie's Under 18 Rehab Hell
Nicole Richie has been speaking about her rehab nightmare after she became hooked on heroin at 13. The hollywood It girl described how she knew she was addicted from the first time she tried the drug.
In an interview with Marie Claire she said: "I can remember the first time I tried it as a teenager-there was a lot of vomiting. But your body becomes physically dependent on it right away."
During her parents hostile divorce Nicole turned to heroin as an escape and soon become an addict.
After discovering the extent of the problem she was admitted into a rehab designed especially for teenagers.
"They didn't want me to quit cold turkey becuase I could have had a seizure so they gave me medication to come off it," she says looking back.
"Anyone who goes to rehab will say that they don't remember their first week or two becuase your body just goes through the shock of coming off whatever you were on." However this was nothing out of the ordinary for Hollywood and Nicole describes how there are even different types of rehab to chose from.
"There are prison ones and hotel ones, I was in under 18 rehab," she says.
Nicole also defended her troubled pal Lindsay Lohan, who was arrested yesterday for drug and driving charges just weeks after leaving rehab.
"I think it's unfair for anyone to be singled out the way she had been. How many of your friends got into trouble when they were 19 or 20?" she asked.
Angelina Jolie's hero role
Angelina Jolie took on her latest movie role so she could be a hero to her children.
The Oscar-winning actress - who has four children, five-year-old Maddox, three-year-old Pax, two-year-old Zahara and one-year-old Shiloh, with lover Brad Pitt - provides the voice of Tigress in 'Kung Fu Panda'.
She said: "I'm doing 'Kung Fu Panda'. I'm going to be a hero to my children. I'm the tiger and Jackie Chan's in it, so I'm so cool."
Meanwhile, Angelina and Brad and three of their children went bowling with good friend Mariane Pearl and her young son Adam.
The couple are currently holidaying in France and decided to treat the children and Mariane - who Angelina recently portrayed in the movie 'A Mighty Heart' - to an afternoon at the local family fun centre 'Le Palace'.
However, the day almost turned sour when Brad slipped on one of the lanes and hurt his back.
The centre's owner, Patrick Bernard, said: "The children don't have the strength to always get the ball down the lane, because it sometimes stops, so Brad thought he'd go down the lane to push it along. He slipped and fell on his back - hard!
"My wife was disappointed when Brad was OK and she missed her only chance in life to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to Brad Pitt!"
Brad and the three boys - Maddox, Pax and Adam - also played air-hockey, while Angelina and Zahara chatted to Mariane.
Bernard added: "With only two lanes we're certainly the smallest bowling in France, so we're still having trouble realizing we spent Monday afternoon (23.07.07) with the most famous couple in the world."
Before leaving, Angelina and Brad personally thanked the Bernards - speaking a little French - and signed autographs for the couple's 15-year-old daughter.

Girls Aloud are being stalked by an internet psychopath who has threatened to torture, kill and rape all five members.
The deranged man has posted a chilling story on the web describing how he would gruesomely murder and dismember Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.
He graphically details how he wants to cut up their lifeless bodies and sell their parts on internet auction site eBay.
The story, entitled 'Girls (Scream) Aloud', is described on restricted website Kristen Archives as: "The very sexy deaths of all five members of the world's sexiest all-girl group."
Before the terrifying tale unfolds, the writer warns readers: "This story contains imaginary descriptions of the rape, torture and mutilation of five of the sexiest girls in pop today.
"I cannot stress enough that this is strictly fictitious."
Despite the writer insisting he would never carry out the acts described in the story, the five girls are said to be very concerned about what the man is capable of.
However, they refuse to let the writer stop them from living their normal lives.
A spokesman for the band said: "We won't give this person the satisfaction that the girls care.
"They have security with them all the time, they are safe enough."
The website features 15,000 pieces of explicit 'fiction', including brutal murders, torture and child abuse.
Liev Schreiber And Naomi Watts Become Parents.
Hollywood stars LIEV SCHREIBER and NAOMI WATTS are celebrating after the actress gave birth to their first child - a week earlier than expected, according to U.S. reports.
The Mulholland Dr. star, 38, gave birth early on Thursday morning at a hospital in Los Angeles with Schreiber by her side, although the couple has not revealed the sex of the baby, reports Life & Style magazine.
A source says, "Naomi was planning on giving birth next week - her due date was early August - but since she insisted on delivering naturally, she knew there was a chance she would have the baby before the due date. That's what wound up happening.
"This is a dream come true for both of them and they've done everything in their power to make it as special as possible, right down to staying in the dark about the baby's sex right up until Naomi gave birth."

Natalie Portman not naked
Natalie Portman did not strip completely naked for new movie 'Goya's Ghosts'.
The Hollywood beauty was believed to have stripped off for the graphic torture scenes in the movie - in which she plays the muse of painter Francisco Goya who is accused of heresy during the Spanish Inquisition - but she has now revealed she used a body double for some scenes.
Natalie said: "There's a long shot of a nude woman, but it's not me. You do see some parts of me unclothed, but if they end up on websites making it look like I'm nude, I'm going to be really, really angry."
The 26-year-old actress - who played a pole dancer in 'Closer' - has also denied she accepted the controversial role to rid herself of her squeaky-clean image.
She added: "I didn't do the scene in order to prove something. I just want to get on with my life and do what feels right."

Lindsay Lohan's cocaine charge
Lindsay Lohan has been charged on suspicion of DUI (driving under the influence), possession of cocaine and driving with a suspended licence, just a week after checking out of rehab. The 21-year-old actress - who recently completed a 45-day programme for alcoholism - was stopped by police in Santa Monica, California, at around 2.15am on Tuesday (24.07.07).
Police were responding to a call about a car chase involving two vehicles. Officers have confirmed that Lindsay was driving two companions in the pursuing car.
The star - who is currently facing a separate DUI charge after crashing her car in Beverly Hills in May - was taken to a Santa Monica jail after failing a sobriety test.
Another search at the station found cocaine in her pants pocket, and her breath test recorded a blood alcohol level of between .1.2 and .1.3. Lindsay was subsequently charged with the three offences.
The actress' bail was set at $25,000 and she left the station at around 9am on Tuesday morning.
The news comes just days after the star - who has been wearing an alcohol-monitoring ankle device since leaving rehab - surrendered herself to Beverly Hills police and was formally booked for DUI following her car crash in May.
Lindsay arrived at the station with her lawyer last Thursday (19.07.07) and was released on $30,000 bail an hour later. A court date was set for August 24.

LINDSAY LOHAN is heading back to rehab just days after completing a lengthy stay at Promises in Malibu, California.The news comes after the troubled actress was arrested for drink driving and drug possession on Tuesday morning (24Jul07).
Lohan was pulled over by police after she was reported for driving erratically through the streets of Santa Monica, California, in hot pursuit of a car being driven by the mother of an assistant, who quit on Monday (23Jul07).
Police have confirmed the former assistant's mother was the person who reported Lohan, calling authorities on her cellphone.
Lohan had been celebrating a friend's birthday in Venice, California.
She was charged with a DUI and then police reportedly found cocaine in her pockets when she was booked.
Lohan has cancelled a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where she was due to promote her new movie I Know Who Killed Me, and she'll also be a no-show at the film's premiere later this week, according to reports.
And now, a source close to the Mean Girls star tells In Touch Weekly magazine that Lohan plans to re-enter rehab.
It is not clear yet whether she will return to Promises or exactly when she will check in.

The Mean girls star was also arrested for possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility and driving on a suspended licence, despite wearing an alcohol-detecting ankle bracelet which is designed to monitoring her drinking.
Lohan's attorney Blair Berk admitted in a statement, that the tag was a failure.
The statement read: "Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease.
"Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a scram bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies.
"Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care."
Meanwhile, the company who issued Lohan with the scram bracelet told tmz, "I didn't even know she was arrested."

Lindsay Lohan dumped
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been dumped by on/off lover Calum Best - because he doesn't like her being sober. The model, the son of late soccer legend George Best, is not ready to cut down on his partying and thinks he is no longer suited to the 'Mean Girls' actress, who is teetotal after completing a rehab programme for alcoholism.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Calum called Lindsay last week and said he was finding her post-rehab existence dull and that he didn't want to give up partying.
"He loves Lindsay but he's simply not in the same place anymore."
Lindsay - who began dating Calum earlier this year - has been wearing a special ankle bracelet to monitor her alcohol consumption since officially finishing a 45-day stint at Malibu's Promises rehab clinic on July 13.
The 21-year-old actress entered the centre following her arrest for DUI (driving under the influence) after crashing her car on Sunset Boulevard.
Since leaving rehab, Lindsay has been seen out partying wearing the bulky ankle device, which measures the alcohol content in the wearer's sweat and relays the information to a monitoring centre.
The bracelet is worn 24 hours a day and a silent alarm is triggered if it is tampered with.
Last week, Lindsay was spotted enjoying an evening with Cameron Diaz's alleged ex-lover Criss Angel.
The star was seen holding hands with the 39-year-old magician at Las Vegas nightclub Pure before the pair left together at 5am.
Onlookers claimed the pair then went back to Lohan's hotel suite.
Kate Moss' video nasty
Kate Moss is terrified intimate videos she made with ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty will end up on the internet. The supermodel, who dumped the troubled rocker earlier this month, made eight video diaries with Pete during their turbulent relationship.
After their messy split, Kate found six of the tapes but is concerned that Pete, who is a self-confessed drug addict, could sell the missing two.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "There are still some bits and pieces floating about of Pete with Kate. She has got rid of most of it. Six out of eight tapes have been destroyed.
"But she wanted to bury the lot before he could humiliate her by selling them or putting them on the internet."
Some of the clips have already been posted on the web by the couple before they separated. One short video featured the pair singing together and the Babyshambles frontman serenading a scantily-clad Kate.
The source added: "When those clips came on the net, Kate could obviously decide with Pete what was going to be made public.
"Now, with the remaining two tapes, she has no say."
Last week, it was reported that Kate had changed all her phone numbers to stop Pete contacting her.
A source said: "Pete was still phoning Kate and in the end it was too much for her.
"Kate is determined to wipe the slate clean and that means never speaking to him again."
The 33-year-old model was left devastated after Pete allegedly cheated on her with South African model Lindi Hingston last month.
Kate - who has a four-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, from a previous relationship - ended her two-year relationship with the musician and threw him out of her north London home before changing the locks.
Itchy Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel could never be a model - because she'd be desperate to scratch herself. The stunning actress, who is dating pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake, hates posing for photo shoots because the poses she has to pull are so uncomfortable.
She told Parade magazine: "It's never nearly as sexy doing it as it appears in a magazine. You're sort of laughing through the photo shoot because it's funny to take yourself so seriously. I could never be a model because you're always standing in an awkward position and your back hurts, and you're wearing heels lying on a rock or in the sand or something. You're like, 'This is weird. Paris Hilton has boasted she earns £100 million a year. The hotel heiress claims she rakes in the enormous sum from a variety of business ventures, including her own hotel chain, perfume range and personalised merchandise, and by charging massive fees for personal appearances.

Lindsay Lohan's law surrender
Lindsay Lohan surrendered herself to Beverly Hills police yesterday (19.07.07).
The 'Mean Girls' star, who recently completed her rehab programme for alcoholism, has been formally booked for DUI (driving under the influence) following her car crash in May.
Lindsay arrived at the station with her lawyer at 4.15pm and was released on $30,000 bail an hour later.
The 21-year-old star was only booked yesterday because at the time of the accident she was cited - not formally arrested - due to the injuries she sustained in the incident.
A court date has been set for August 24.
Lindsay crashed her car on Sunset Boulevard on May 26, and a useable amount of cocaine was reportedly found inside the vehicle, although police could not determine who the drug belonged to.
Meanwhile, Lindsay's movie career could be in jeopardy as some Hollywood studios are said to be wary of working with her.
She was due to start shooting 'Poor Things' alongside Shirley MacLaine after leaving rehab, but set designer Fontaine Beauchamp Hebb revealed the film had been cancelled last week.
Hebb wrote in an email: "'Poor Things' has been cancelled. Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news, but I just received a call from producer Jacky Gilardi pulling the plug on the ill-fated film. Apparently, Ms. Lohan's antics in Las Vegas over the weekend have scared the bond companies and all of the funding has been pulled."
Insurers are said to be worried Lindsay - who is wearing an alcohol-monitoring device around her ankle and reportedly taking daily drug tests - won't tone down her wild lifestyle and could arrive late to the set.
'Poor Things' producers declined to comment on the cancellation of the movie.
Shakira's prenup
Shakira is making her fiancé sign a prenuptial agreement according to reports in Argentina. The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer is to wed Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rua in September, but is insisting he sign an agreement renouncing his right to any of her fortune if they divorce.
A source said: "When you're very much in love you have plenty of people giving you advice, and none of them wants to see what happened to Paul McCartney happen to her."
The 30-year-old Columbian star is eager to start a family.
The source continues: "Shakira has already made the decision to marry Antonio de la Rua. When she was on tour in Buenos Aires she also said that her wishes to become a mother are getting more and more intense."
Shakira and Antonio - the son of former Argentine president Fernando de la Rua - have been engaged for six years, and will marry at in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in September.
Britney Spears' strip dip
Britney Spears stripped down to her underwear for an impromptu swim in the sea. The 'Toxic' singer, who had been house hunting in the Malibu heat, decided to run onto the beach and cool down in the ocean. 
Although she didn't have any swimming attire with her, Britney decided that her shocking pink bra and skimpy knickers would do.
An eye-witness said: "She squealed with delight as she and her friend splashed about in the waves."
She was then carried back to her car by a male friend.
Earlier this week, it was reported Britney had a "shocking slapfest" with her mother.
The 25-year-old star was said to have flown into a rage when her mother, Lynne, arrived at her house uninvited and started attacking Britney's parenting skills last month.
A source said: "Lynne barged into the house and insisted on taking the kids out to spend some private time with them. She didn't ask or suggest, she demanded. Then she began denigrating Britney's mothering skills and losing her temper at the same time.
"Britney and Lynne had a shocking slapfest. It left Lynne shaken and Britney more determined than ever to cut her mother out of her life for good."
The physical fight is believed to have taken place just days after Britney allegedly handed Lynne a legal order banning her from seeing her grandsons, 22-month-old Sean Preston and 10-month-old Jayden James, while she is on medication.
Lynne is allegedly considering filing a countersuit.
Britney also reportedly gave Lynne an angry poem, in which she claims she has "no mom".
Lindsay Lohan's naked rehab
Lindsay Lohan allegedly amused herself in rehab by wandering around naked to shock male patients and staff. The 'Mean Girls' star - who recently spent 45 days in Malibu's Promises Centre to be treated for alcoholism - was reportedly overheard bragging about her nude exploits at Allegra Versace's birthday party.
A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Lindsay was howling with laughter as she told all her friends, including Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer. They were all giggling too and their eyes were popping out.
"Lindsay said, 'I drove them all mad wandering around completely naked. They kept telling me to quit, but it was so much fun to tease all those boys. I just couldn't stop it!' "
Lindsay, 21, is currently trying to trace a hacker who stole naked pictures of her, taken by on/off lover Calum Best, from her computer.

Fergie Loves Boyfriend Josh's Love Scences
Fergie has revealed she loves watching her boyfriend Josh Duhamel act out love scenes with other women in his TV show Las Vegas.
The Black Eyed Peas singer doesn't get jealous - which she admits other people find unusual.
Fergie says, "This probably sounds strange but I like those scenes. And he has a lot of them - he has fun on that set."
"It makes me feel better when I'm away to see him kiss other women because it reminds me of our own kisses and what I can look forward to when I get home. But even Josh thinks that's a strange attitude."
Fergie began dating actor Josh Duhamel after she discovered he'd had a sexy dream about her.
The 32-year-old singer accidentally found out the TV actor had been having steamy thoughts about her, and decided to take the plunge and ask him out after her friends convinced her to.
She said in an interview with Playboy magazine: "I had read in a magazine that he'd had a naughty dream about me. All my friends knew about him because he had been a soap opera star. I'm not into soap operas, but they told me, 'You gotta go out with him. Do it for the group. Take one for the team.' "

Jessica Biel is looking for a man with a good sense of humour.

Paris Hilton is dating T-shirt designer Tyler Atkins.
The 26-year-old hotel heiress was seen kissing Tyler - who sells his label Rock Stars and Angels in trendy Los Angeles boutiques - at Malibu's Polaroid Beach House on Saturday (14.07.07).
A source said: "They were making out like teenagers."
Tyler, 21, was also seen cuddling Paris' new Yorkshire Terrier puppy, Cinderella, and the couple attended the Lia Sophia clambake party on Saturday night.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are reportedly engaged.
The Fall Out Boy frontman is rumoured to have proposed after his Live Earth performance in New Jersey on July 7 and Ashlee immediately said "Yes".
A source is quoted as saying: "Ashlee wasn't expecting it at all, it was a total surprise. Pete whipped out a big engagement ring, dropped down on one knee, and asked Ashlee to be his bride. Ashlee said yes right away."

The Brazilian beauty topped Forbes magazine's list of the 10 richest supermodels, earning almost four times more than Kate Moss, who is in second place with an annual income of $9 million.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Pete was still phoning Kate last weekend and in the end it was too much for her. She thought she had made things clear - that he should never get in touch with her again, under any circumstances.
"But he failed to get the message so she has taken drastic action. It's a pain for her but she's more adamant than ever about making a clean break.
