Lindsay Lohan branded her father Michael a "public embarrassment and a bully".
The 'Mean Girls' actress is furious her dad accused her girlfriend Samantha Ronson of using her to raise her profile, and insists it is Michael who is "addicted to fame".
She wrote in a MySpace blog: "If you have something to say to me, say it to my face - that's what I have believed my whole life - don't be a coward and say it to others first, let alone to all the media in the world.
"It really hurts, because I have tried - after all that my mother and siblings have gone through, I really tried to make things work - for the hope of having a father again and wanting things to change - even though people have said, some people will forever remain the same.
"He has become a public embarrassment and a bully - to my family, my co-workers, my friends, and a girl that means the world to me (it's obvious who that is).
"His recent attack on my life and my loved ones is simply for an ADDICTION THAT HE HAS - FAME. If he really cared about me and my life, then he would learn to respect my wishes by staying out of it. Samantha has not and would never sell me out. Nor has my mother, who is wonderful."
Samantha also wrote a blog entry about the incident, insisting she is being "used" in Michael's desperate attempt to boost his profile.
She said: "I really don't want to say anything because I feel like he wins - he, being the man who is so desperate for attention that he goes to the media whenever possible - I know I am being used, I am just a pawn - easy to sacrifice in order to feed his addiction. I was angry when I first read his attack on me, but I believe that actions speak louder than words. So now I just pity him."

Samantha Ronson's loose Lohan lips
Samantha Ronson is reportedly set to write a tell-all book about her relationship with Lindsay Lohan.
The DJ - who is believed to have dated the 'Mean Girls' actress since late last year - is planning to reveal intimate details about the couple's daily life.
A source told website E! Online: "Samantha is certainly telling friends she's planning to write a book. It's supposed to be about her, allegedly. But come on, you know Lindsay will be all over that book. She's the only one people want to read about."
However, Lindsay's father Michael is furious about the prospect and believes the 31-year-old music star is "using" his 22-year-old daughter.
He said: "I've shut up about this long enough. Samantha is using my daughter. People never even knew who Samantha Ronson was until she met Lindsay. She was just some Los Angeles DJ. And now she's writing a book? I am at my wit's end with this stuff. This is not in Lindsay's best interest.
"Let's just say I hope Lindsay starts opening her eyes and realises who the people using her are."
Michael also thinks Samantha is responsible for getting Lindsay hooked on alcohol again, despite the 'Georgia Rule' actress seeking treatment in rehab for her drinking problems.
He said: "Samantha drinks and passes the drinks under the table to Lindsay, and behind the scenes it gets worse and worse. Sam is using my daughter. My daughter isn't working because she's always with Sam. Even my ex-wife Dina knows it. She just isn't doing anything about it."

Madonna's Hitler storm
Madonna has come under fire for comparing US Presidential candidate John McCain to Adolf Hitler.
An image of McCain flashed on screen alongside images of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe at the first night of her 'Sticky and Sweet' world tour in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, Wales, on Saturday (23.08.08).
The images were shown as Madonna performed her song 'Get Stupid'.
Tucker Bounds, an outraged spokesperson for McCain's campaign, used the opportunity to take a swipe at McCain's Presidential rival Barack Obama.
He said: "The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time.
"It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits."
While McCain - the Republican party candidate for the November US election - was shown opposite despots, his rival, Democratic candidate Barack Obama was juxtaposed with pictures of peace activist Mahatma Ghandi and late Beatles singer John Lennon in the same song.
Meanwhile, Madonna has reportedly been forced out of her own gym by noisy construction workers.
The 50-year-old singer spent £12 million converting the Georgian house next door to her London home into a state-of- the-art workout room.
But after several months of noisy drilling, leering and suggestive whistling from nearby workers, she has switched to another gym.
A friend close to the star said: "Madonna felt as if she has been living in a siege situation. The noise of the drilling meant she was forced to listen to her iPod at full volume, potentially damaging her ears."
Madonna has since moved to her personal trainer's gym.
Her 'Sticky and Sweet' world tour continues in Nice, France, tonight (26.08.08) before moving on to Germany and Switzerland.

Kate Moss is set to 'romp' with a giant rabbit.
The British supermodel is to get steamy with a man dressed as a rampant bunny and will also take part in a nude orgy in the video for We Are (Not) Sex People's new single.
The promo will be filmed at The House of Cyn in Streatham, South London, which was one of the country's most notorious brothels in the 70s and 80 and was run by legendary madam Cynthia Payne.
Lead singer of the band Dan Summers is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "There will be lots of nudity.

Anna Faris says men are drawn to blonde women "like they are to a puppy".
The 'Scary Movie' actress has sported both blonde and brunette locks, and admits she always received more attention when her locks are a lighter hue.
She said: "I remember when I studied in Italy I felt like I could have been a hundred years old and guys would still hit on me because of my hair colour. It's true - they're drawn to blondes like they are to a puppy.
The 31-year-old actress also claims her hair shade affects people's perceptions of her, with many assuming she is stupid when she is blonde.
She revealed: "Sometimes I get tired of people just assuming if you're blonde you're a dim bulb. When I was a brunette people treated me with more respect, intellectually.
"Now that I'm back to blonde they think that I'm going to be really friendly and bubbly and not talk about the economy or the war in Iraq."

The 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' - who recently announced her engagement to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds - thinks she "inherited" her romanticism from her mother.
She said: "My mom is a romantic person and I think I inherited that from her. There are all different types of romance, the romance you share with a partner, but there's also the thoughtfulness you have with your children, that can be romantic.
"Then there is remembering what people like and what they appreciate and wanting them to experience it - that's romantic to me."

Miley Cyrus' pricey birthday
Miley Cyrus is to charge guests $250 to attend her 16th birthday party.
The 'Hannah Montana' star - who reportedly earned $18.2 million last year - is set to celebrate her birthday at Disneyland, California, and will sell tickets to raise money for Youth Service America, which helps improve the lives of young people aged five to 25.
Promising a special fireworks display and a live performance, Miley said: "It's gonna be an awesome party with more than seven things I like. I love roller coasters. So this is my ultimate birthday."
Explaining the decision to turn her celebrations into a fundraiser, Miley said: "There's only one world and we got to take care of it."
The actress-and-singer, the teenage daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus, also revealed she wants a car for her birthday.
The party will take place on October 5 - just over a month before Miley turns 16.
Tickets to Miley's Sweet 16 - Share the Celebration will go on sale on August 30.
Jordan's breast agony
Jordan's latest breast operation has left her in agony.
The former glamour model - real name Katie Price - underwent her fifth boob job earlier this month, but the reduction surgery is proving so painful she has lost her appetite and can't sleep.
A source said: "She is in a lot of pain, but the surgeon has told her it is normal. She is not sleeping well because she can't lie flat and has to sit upright all the time. She is finding it tough to eat properly."
Despite the pain, Jordan - who is married to Australian pop singer Peter Andre - is said to be happy with her new, smaller breasts.
The source added: "As soon as she woke up from surgery, she felt around to make sure they were sitting upright and that her nipples were in the right place. She is feeling positive about it all so far."
Now Peter is reportedly considering going under the surgeon's knife to get a more toned abdomen because he is struggling to lose his excess pounds.

Pop pauper Duffy
Duffy hasn't made any money since she started singing.
The 'Mercy' singer - who is proving a hit in both the UK and US - admits she hasn't seen any of her earnings yet, but isn't worried about her lack of funds.
She said: "I haven't had any money yet! I think it's something to do with royalties. But at least I have enough money to buy a pair of tights now!
"I don't care about the money, I don't do it for that. I do it because I can't not do it. I have a love-hate relationship with music. It drives me mental but if I'm not writing melodies and lyrics I feel ill."
Duffy, 24, also claims she has made a conscious effort not to let her growing fame change her life.
She added: "I'm clinging onto reality. I still want to hang out with my friends and have a drink but I don't have any time. Sometimes it does my head in. But I wouldn't have it any different."
Jade Goody diagnosed with cancer
Reality TV star Jade Goody has been diagnosed with cancer.
The star, who entered the Indian Big Brother house just two days ago, was called into the Diary Room and told the news by her consultant in the UK. She then burst into tears and ran into the house in hysterics, telling housemates: "I have cancer".
Jade left the house immediately and is flying back home for treatment.
Her spokesperson confirmed, "She went for tests and results have come back and she has cancer of the womb. She was phoned up and informed. This is a massive blow for her." Jade was undergoing hospital tests just over a week ago after collapsing four times, but was later discharged.

Paris Hilton's 'hot' prosthetics
Paris Hilton's boyfriend thought her prosthetic face for her new movie was "hot".
The socialite, who plays a plastic surgery addict in 'Repo! The Genetic Opera', was surprised when her lover Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden told her he loved her new look.
Paris is quoted as saying: "The looks were pretty brutal at points. I was pretty embarrassed by all the prosthetics on my face. In every scene I look completely different.
"Throughout the film I had different prosthetics, different hair, different eyes, and different chins. But Benji thought it was really hot!"
Paris, 27, recently revealed how much she enjoyed being able to dramatically change her appearance.
She said: "I've never had any plastic surgery, so doing a character like that - it was a lot of fun to change because every scene I have a different nose, I have different eyes, different hair.
"We were using a lot of prosthetics, so every scene you can't really tell that it's me, so that was a lot of fun. "

The Spanish actress - who appears alongside Scarlett Johansson in Woody Allen's new movie 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' - insists despite being one of the world's most famous sex symbols, she doesn't think she is attractive.
She said: "I don't think I am beautiful. I can look good and I can look ugly. What's funny is that when I was younger I wanted everyone to look at me. Now I like to watch other people because you can learn a lot of interesting things."
Penelope - who is dating Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem - also revealed she has no plans to marry the 'No Country For Old Men' star.
She added to Parade.com: "My family, my brother, my sister, they're always complaining that I'm too protective and I've always been like that. But I don't know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, in love, in children."
