Mel B throws sexy party

Mel B treated her husband to six strippers for his 33rd birthday.

The former Spice Girls star handcuffed Stephen Belafonte, before parading the X-rated dancers in front of him. Mel gleefully took photos as the women rubbed up against him.

A guest at the Los Angeles party told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The girls were really provocative. Mel loved it."

Mel, 33, also warned guests she was filling the bash with a host of "dangerous animals", but when partygoers arrived they only found chickens, a pony, and five goats.

Guests named one of the ginger goats 'Geri' after Mel's former Spice Girls bandmate Geri Halliwell.

Earlier this week, Ultimo lingerie model Mel boasted she was amazing at sex, saying: "If there was an Olympic sport for anything, I'd win gold for sex! Me and Stephen have a pretty hot sex life and I admit I look I look quite good in my underwear or bikini."

Following Mel's success on US TV talent show 'Dancing with the Stars' and the recent Spice Girls reunion tour, she has announced plans to record a new solo album, following up her 2005 record 'L.A. State of Mind'.

Mel B defends husband

Mel B has slammed claims her new husband is a wife beater.

The Spice Girl, who secretly wed film producer Stephen Belafonte in June, was distraught following allegations Belafonte had attacked his ex, common law wife Nicole Contreras.

The 32-year-old singer says she would never marry an abusive man.

Mel told Britain's Hello! magazine: "Everything I stand for is about being a strong, independent woman, so for

him to be seen as a wife beater is devastating for me because he's not - he never has been.

"They're trying to make him out to be this aggressive, violent, woman batterer and he's not. If you read those

police reports, they say he never physically beat up a woman."

Mel - who has an eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, and a four-month-old

daughter, Angel Iris, with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy - hates her family and friends thinking she married the wrong man.

She added: "The only thing I don't like is that my friends and family read this and go into shock-horror mode,

thinking, 'Oh, she's married a psychopath!' "

Earlier this month, it was revealed Belafonte is wanted by police - for killing a duck.

The father-of-one has a warrant out for his arrest in his home state of New Jersey for killing the bird with a brick.

Belafonte has admitted to bludgeoning the duck to death outside his Point Pleasant home, but fled to Los Angeles before paying his £300 court-ordered fine.

An Ocean County court spokesperson said: "A warrant has been issued over unpaid fines and costs relating to an animal-related offence. He will be arrested if he returns to the area."

Mel B's secret marriage

Mel B has married her new lover in secret. The Spice Girl tied the knot with film producer Stephen Belafonte in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony in June, just one month after reports surfaced they were dating. Mel said: "Stephen and I have known each other for seven years. We wanted to make a commitment. "We wanted it to be private and have a big wedding with our families later in the year."

The ceremony cost just $59 and Mel didn't even wear a wedding dress for the occasion.

Reverend Marie Stapleton, who officiated, said: "They paid $59 on his Visa card. They made no big deal of it. I don't think she had a wedding dress."

Their State of Nevada wedding certificate shows Melanie Janine Brown of Leeds, wed Stephen Brian Belafonte of Los Angeles, on June 6.

It is believed the couple signed a prenuptial agreement.

The newlyweds are currently enjoyed a sunshine break in Miami, where they were pictured frolicking in a pool at the Nikki Beach Club.

Mel's 'drive-thru' ceremony is a far cry from her extravagant first wedding to Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar - the father of her eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi - in 1998.

The singer also has a four-month-old daughter Angel Iris from her romance with actor Eddie Murphy.

Mel B's Eddie plea

Mel B has called on Eddie Murphy to play an active role in their daughter's life. Eddie released a statement on Friday (03.08.07) finally acknowledging he is the father of four-month-old Angel Iris, but Mel is upset he has not promised to visit their daughter.

Her lawyer Gloria Allred said: "He has not indicated in his statement or to us that he plans to visit the baby. It is my client's concern that he should see his child, spend time with her, hold her, love her and bond with his daughter."

In his statement, Eddie's publicist Arnold Robinson said: "He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel and has paid child support to Ms. Brown, as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy.

"He always has and will continue to honour his responsibilities as a father."

However, the 'Shrek' actor denies Mel's claims the couple planned to have a baby together.

The statement added: "Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of any sort."

In December, Eddie publicly ended his relationship with Mel when she was five months pregnant and publicly questioned the child's paternity.

A court ordered DNA test in June confirmed he was the father.

Eddie already has five children, and last week got engaged to his new love, film producer Tracey Edmonds.
