Lindsay Lohan in rehab

Lindsay Lohan checked into a Utah rehab facility on Sunday (05.08.07). The 'Mean Girls' star - who is currently facing charges of DUI (driving under the influence), possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custody facility and driving on a suspended licence - is staying at the Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol rehab facility in Sundance.

Staff have confirmed that Lindsay, 21, is to undergo an intense rehabilitation programme which is expected to last a minimum of 30 days.

The centre treats men and women over the age of 18 and patients must undergo a thorough mental and physical examination upon arrival.

The centre can house up to 16 residents at a time and each room has a Jacuzzi.

The Lodge was named by Town and Country magazine as one of America's best rehab clinics and prices start at $30,000.

Previous star patients include David Hasselhoff and Mary-Kate Olsen.

Since her arrest on July 24, Lindsay has been in hiding in Los Angeles, allegedly at the home of family friend Gina Glickman.

Last Friday (03.08.07), the troubled actress flew to New York to spend the weekend with her family before travelling to Utah to begin her treatment.

Lindsay's representative said: "It would be counterproductive to the medical treatment she is receiving to release Lindsay's whereabouts at this time."
